Hello! My name is Elsie Escobar

New media producer, consultant and yoga teacher, bringing you accessible tech and new media spiced with yoga to ease your mind and help you be more productive!

I’m a jack-of all trades: new media producer, innovator, yogi + thespian.

I help you, independent content creator/podcaster, design specific strategies for media development, refine and polish your existing media offerings, plus help you create honest and grounded relationships with your audience and clients through digital media, products and personality.

I’ll help you take the tech out of your way and remove any fear you might have about it - from gadgets to software to productivity - so you can shine your light brighter than you even realized you could!

Why?

Because I love tech!

I love researching and analyzing the tech space. I adore tinkering with software, playing with hardware and being an early adopter.

It's not shiny new object syndrome - It's the a pure delight in the art of innovation, evolution and iteration.

I love to learn all about new products and applications and am happy to test things out so that you don’t waste your precious time.

How does that sound?

So What’s the YoGeek Story?

I totally fell in love with yoga while working on my MFA at the National Conservatory in Denver, Colorado.

After graduation, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, and worked in movies, television and regional theater.

The whole acting thing didn’t do it for me. Gotta say it dimmed my sparkle ;) so I stumbled back onto yoga.

I was able to create a thriving business helping people get out of pain and remind them how awesome they truly are :)

Now that was a job I could get 100% behind!

But even though I completely dug being a yoga instructor I also fell in love again.

This time it was with technology.

I got an iPod for Christmas in 2005 and it changed my life.

I discovered podcasting.

I discovered Apple.

My head was blown open.

I immersed myself in learning all about podcasting and the Mac platform by diving into as many podcasts that I could consume as well as insinuating myself in this very new up and coming community of creative new media producers.

I started podcasting in July 2006, and became the top rated female yoga podcaster producing independent audio content.

Since it’s inception, my yoga podcast episodes have been downloaded over 2.5 million times all over the world. Yep. That’s MILLION.

Within a year I was working for one of the most succesful and innovative new media companies Libsyn, working one on one with hundreds of indie podcasters both refining + developing their work.

Now, I have the best of both worlds, I get to immerse myself fully in the new media space, work with some incredibly driven creative content producers as well as continue to teach yoga both one on one and virtually.

I've found my sweet spot bringing the geek to the yogi and the yogi to the geek.

Who's up for stepping into the YoGeek lifestyle?
