Reflecting on the pivot to virtual for She Podcasts LIVE, I feel an ache—a heaviness from constantly proving our worth, especially as we strive to uplift marginalized voices in podcasting. It’s a struggle to keep showing up, holding space, and pushing forward. We need more support, more investment in community leaders who care deeply, and a greater understanding of what truly sustains us. We must embrace slow growth, intentional connection, and, most importantly, each other.

Expanding your listener base is not about tweets, the length of the episode, type of podcast, FB ads, an email newsletter, etc. etc. and so forth. Those are great for supporting an already solid foundation. So what’s the silver bullet?
